Physician Referral for Apheresis Patients

The Apheresis Program at UC San Diego Health follows the latest evidence-based guidelines for therapeutic apheresis from the American Society for Apheresis (ASFA).

All patients require a referral from a specialist who manages the condition for which they are referred for therapeutic apheresis. The apheresis treatment plan will require coordination of care between the referring physician and the apheresis physicians.
