Liver Disease Care
Living with liver disease requires a partnership that includes you and liver experts who understand your condition.
The Liver Center at UC San Diego Health is the region's leader in the treatment of acute and chronic liver diseases.
Our goal is to slow, stop and cure these conditions so they do not become more serious medical illnesses. At our liver disease clinics, liver specialists work with you to closely monitor and manage your condition.
Comprehensive Treatment Programs
Conditions such as viral hepatitis B or C, fatty liver disease, autoimmune liver disease and hemochromatosis can increase the risk of developing cirrhosis and liver cancer.Learn About our Comprehensive Liver Cancer Care
How We Diagnose Liver Disease
Our team detects injury or inflammation in the liver using a combination of physical diagnosis, blood tests and advanced imaging by our radiologists. These tests can help determine whether it is an acute or chronic disorder.
Support Groups
We offer education classes and support groups for people with hepatitis C and liver cancer. Learn more about liver transplant resources.
